Going Steady Book Cover

In the spirit of Valentine's Day, here's my extremely couples-y cover illustration for Going Steady, a recent collaborative project for my UBCO work study.

This piece was created for a wrap-around cover, so imagine a fold down the centre of this image with the right side as the front cover and the left side as the back.

Books

Over the winter break I made a couple books out of some thrift store finds: a vintage sweater knitting pattern book and a book of tree drawings.

In this one, I kept a bunch of the original pages that I really liked (photos of sweater models and knitting patterns in particular).

For this one, I made a little hardcover sketch/notebook covered with a page from a book on how to draw trees.

Chaos

This little book of Shane Koyzcan's words from "How we get Wrinkles" opens up, falls apart, and unfolds itself in confusing ways to illustrate the word "chaos."

As it sits right now: impending chaos.

The Global Christmas

A children's Christmas book I was very fortunate to illustrate last year for local Kelowna author Pam Renzi is now available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Balboa Press, and Alibris!

Take a sneak peek of the book below.

And check out a cool review of The Global Christmas here!

The Global Christmas

Well, the children's Christmas story I've had the pleasure of illustrating has finally been printed! 3,000 copies of The Global Christmas currently sit in our garage while the author is out of town. It's so cool to be able to actually see it in all its printed glory.

The book has yet to go on sale, but here's a sneak peek of what it looks like!
